Default M&P22 FTF

I got a new M&P22 and have had fits with failure to feeds right from the start. It has gotten better. Called S&W and they suggested shooting CCI, but that is a little expensive for everyday range session. I was impressed when I read the posts on that gun on how it ate everything everyone put trough it. That and the fact I have the M&P9 are why I purchased the .22. I use Federal Bulk 550 copper plated for most every .22, and they were not good in this gun. Winchester Wildcats seemed to work best, but lately they also started to not feed. I suspected that the slide was not fully traveling to the rear and not picking up the next round. While shooting today, it got a little worse, so I laid the gun down and did a little thinking. The subject of lubrication crossed my mind. I have been using gun slick grease on the suggested lube points. Some one here on another post said they used automobile oil, so I got a bottle of 30 weight and put that on the lube points. The gun just took off, worked like a charm, not one failure to feed. I read another post on what lube to use and there were suggestions for about a million of them. I tend to use very little as to not collect debris, but also clean after every 100 rounds or so. What are your comments or thoughts on this. Or better yet, a lube that would work as well. Rem Oil doesn't seem to do it, although I usually use it sparingly. I love this gun and I'd like it to work like it did today. Thanks for your advice. This is the only weapon I've had this problem with after using my normal lubes. I do have Break Free CLP on hand, would this be enough? The gun is a month old and has aprox. 2000 rounds through it.
