I just can't get into tiny little lights that take those little 123 batteries.

I have been buying as many quality 6 volt lights and bulbs that I can find. I need to take a good photo, but my favorite are the 1950's Ray-o-vac Sportsman lights- for their time and even today, they are very bright. Just make certain when you buy batteries for those things, that you get an alkaline 6v, and not a carbon one. I'm planning on gutting one of those batteries soon so I can make a holder using the new generation of rechargeable AA's (which hold charge far longer without use) that will fit inside of it.

If a flashlight isn't big and heavy enough to use it as a weapon, what good is it? A 6 cell Maglight is a fairly significant club.

I guess I'm a flahslight junky, just in a differnt way.
