After using and appreciating the Maglite for decades, I too finally ditched them for the Fenix LD-20 about 6 months ago, and like it very much. On the high setting, it's brighter than all the battery eating Maglites I've ever owned, combined. I wanted something bright & lightweight, that runs on two AA batteries, and it has worked out very well. I hope it stands the test of time. I've dropped it on the concrete already a couple of times.

I still carry the 3 cell Mags in my vehicles for the swingable factor, but since I got a license to carry, I dont consider the light as much as a weapon.

I'd like to know how many hundred $$ I've spent on D batteries for those Mags over the years. Gotta love them tho, they sure seemed to rule the flashlight scene for many years.
