I carry from 2 3/4" barrels up to 4" barreled revolvers with an in the pants holster. I also carry the auto 1911's w/5" barrel in 45acp in an in the pants holster too. From 6" barrels up to 10 1/2" barrels get shoulder holstered.

In the hot summertime we need to wipe the handgun down everyday and switch holsters so they will dryout from our body sweat. Even the stainless finishes can be tarnished from our body sweat. I've had nickel finishes tarnish too. I lightly rub with a soft cloth using simi-chrome polish will remove the tarnish if it happens. Just food for thought we all sweat.
