Spectacular revolver! An absolute beauty. The grain in those stocks is phenomenal. And the photographs are first rate. What's not to like?
A couple of years ago I found a similar one of about the same age, 55276 from November 1938. Alas, it lettered without the HBH, so that is an aftermarket add-on. It didn't have a gold bead sight, and the original stocks were missing so I slapped these ivories on it. Though magna style, they must have been made for a prewar gun because they fit the slightly larger frame perfectly.
Even though not in original configuration, this is one of my best ODs and looks like it would be right at home if your gun ever decided to hold a family reunion.
