Well, we competed in the Steel Challenge last week and had a blast. Even though we were shooting a stock Ruger Mk-II with a fiber optic front sight, we were competitive with the other shooters. We finally got the official times back this week, and out of 50 shooters (all divisions) I came in 15th place, and my son came in 21st place. In our division (total of 8 shooters), I came in 3rd place and my son came in 5th place. We made new friends and had a lot of fun. My son wants to shoot .22 rifle next time, along with the .22 handguns. I've got a Weaver base on order so I can shoot my Model 625 with a red dot sight.
