I have been a huge fan of CZ rifles for about fifteen years. The American model, third from the top, is gone but was replaced by a HS Precision stock varmint model in .223.

I swapped for this .222 last fall, but gave it to my brother back in May for his birthday. He did not own a small bore, centerfire, light weight walking around rifle, now he does.

In 2002, CZ started cutting the chambers in the 7.62x39mm carbines with greater precision and uniformity. My carbine, purchased new in 2003, is date coded "00" for the year 2000. The code can be found on the RH side of the barrel and receiver, just above the stock.
