I'll say one thing - they SELL. Working p/t at a GS/Range, we have people with absolutely ZERO firearms experience come in and are considering a purchase. Of course a few Glocks are rentals and get rented and used almost daily.
Then folks go buy one out of the Glock cabinet.
I owned one once, an early G17 when the whole idea was new.
And I own an M&P .45 mid-size, 'cause I was impressed with the design when I attended an Armorers Course (and I was able to buy it for $200).
But overall, Glocks for me hold all the appeal and interest of a really nice adjustable wrench.
