Somewhat off topic:
I moved into an apartment years ago. Once day, I moved the refrigerator out for cleaning. A part of the fridge's mechanism resembled a large cup, and in it I found a single .22 Magnum round. Got me to thinking.
Many refrigerators have enough space behind them, or inside the back of them, to stash a handgun. Hidden correctly, it's quick reach for it.
In the same apartment, I put a couple of gun hooks in the closet, above the entry and toward the front. This held my 20" barreled Remington 870 20 gauge.
You had to step into the closet, turn around and look up to see it.
Few people will step far enough into a closet and look up, so I considered it safe -- yet ready to go.
Knew an old man years ago with a homemade floor lamp with 4" sides. Nicely varnished wood.
He showed me one day its secret: a panel was hinged to open, and inside was a small pump shotgun. It was near the entry door, in plain view, but who would steal a homemade floor lamp?
Seems to me that a small automatic like a .25 or a .32 could be secreted inside a VHS video tape.
Lots of places to hide guns if you look around and have a bit of imagination.
