Having had the XDs in 45 I much prefer the Shield in 9mm. This gun in 9mm is the best of both worlds. A good 9mm round is a breez to shoot and the modern 9mm bullet is proven to get the job done.

Both guns are about the same size, weight and close in round count. But holding on and shooting the 9mm is simpler. For this size pistol the 9 is much better shooter. I don't thing S&W will go down this road but I could be wrong.
