That really irritates me! It's not just that it's wasteful of a fine gun and of my tax dollars, but also it's a shame from a sentimental standpoint. Your brother served our country for a quarter century. That gun was his constant companion and if he wants to buy it at a fair price when the Bureau is done with it, he should be able to. He might have wanted to pass it on to a family member someday.
