I have the Spike's on mine, and (although this is not measurable) I believe it has drastically helped my accuracy when shooting standing up. The 15-22 doesn't really have that much recoil as it is, but the extra weight on the front of the barrel has made my follow up shots almost instantaneous, and more accurate at the same time.

I love the look of spikes, and plan on getting one myself.

Why? There's nothing illegal about shooting through an oil filter. It is not manufactured or sold as a suppressor. Same deal with a pillow, a 2-liter bottle of soda, a potato ...

The Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Commission issued a statement last week that an investigation of the show showed nothing illegal going. Kinda says what the show is, doesn't it?

The extra weight is all that affects how the rifle acts. Mine opens up after 3/4" to ensure there is no effect on the bullet or the sound.
If you want a rugged hard anodized one that can also be turned around to be a barrel shroud and does not have advertising all over it, then I know which one I would get.

There's actually an oil filter adapter that is considered a legal suppressor. It's called the Econo-Can.

LOL, I think most people know about it but you don't have to get the econo-can to make it work with the oil filter, there is other "THING" you can use for half the price that's easily obtainable plus still get it tax stamped!

If I have to go to the trouble of getting a stamp for the adapter to shoot through an oil filter, I'll spend the money and get a REAL suppressor.

If you buy them used, though, they are pretty cheap!
