There were 5,000 dash 3 revolvers purchased by the Air Force and shipped to Warner Robbins in 1968. So, yes, the AF was buying them after 1965.
It has been a very long time, but I believe my issue gun, late in the war, was a dash 3, so it very likely was from that 1968 shipment.
