I could not have said it better myself parisite. That is a good summary of how I would approach the problem.

By the way, lyman cast manual says universal 3 to 3.4 for a 147 lead at 1.058 It also says universal 3.6 to 4.0 at 1.160 for a 140 lead.

So, for the 130 grn, what I would do is start with the 147 grn load at 1.058 of 3 grns and work my way up to the 140 grn load of 4.0 looking for accuracy or pressure signs. My bet is somewhere around 3.5 to 3.7 is the sweet spot of good accuracy and reliability for ejection.

All cautions apply and please verify my data yourself. It is from the 4th edition cast
