At the front of the rear sight tang there is a half round hole. using a small diameter punch or similar tool pry the front of the tang up suficiently to clear the slide and rotate the sight to the right, ejection port side, once the sight is 90' from its original position it can be lifted free from the slide. take care to not loose the spring and plunger that are underneath the sight base. some sights require a bit of force to turn after the tang is clear of the slide top.
