I am playing around with the idea of a survival kit like. S&W offered and am going back and forth on the 460 and 500 in five inch barrel and the i would be in alaska and want something to stop bears and load small enough to kill birds/rabbits but not blow them away.the 460 I can get Speer empty shotshell capsules for 45 long colt and put 4 shot in that for small game in a survival situation. But I like the energy I can get from the 500 and was wondering if I loaded the charge small enough if it would not blow away the rabbit/bird.

I could post the ideas for a "dream" survival case but the items are expensive but just an idea
