A 460 with Burris scope weighs about 6.5lbs. That carries heavier than a Sako light weight rifle because of how it is distributed.. Even a 5lbs pistol is just awkward to carry all day. Its weight is not distributed like a rifle with a forearm. The leverage isn't there with a pistol. I even tried it with a big Thompson for a year, it was like carrying a 4lbs pocket knife. I found once you get past the 3lbs mark, you can't carry a pistol on the hip all day.
