That is why maintenace/function checks are important, regardless of the firearm. You do, do that, right? I would like to see the research that shows autos have more ND's and if so why? When there were only revolvers, ND's were 100 percent revolvers. Now that autos are on the scene and there are more on the street in civilian, militay and LEO hands than revolvers you can expect the rate to falsely look higher. Look at the whole picture. I wonder if the flint/wheel lock crowd thought revolvers were "unsafe" too.
