I really want a four inch 686. I own a 617 with the lock and a 586 without the lock. I want a 686 without the lock. I found a BRAND NEW, never fired 686-4 in the box. Of course this is a pre lock and the same dash as my 586. Being it is new, and a pre lock, what would be the max you would pay for one if you really wanted it? My thinking is it isn't easy to find one unfired and, to me, it is worth more than a new one with the lock. I'm trying to be patient in my search and realize there are many out there. I see the prices on these Colt Python's and understand they are worth more but are they worth 3 times what a Pre lock 686 is worth? I guess I'm trying to justify a stopping point in terms of what I will pay.....THanks
