Mine have an air gap behind where they contact the barrel on the non-threaded shrouds,.
There is an air gap behind the 3/4" of threads on the threaded barrel shrouds.
Only one end is closed, the other end is completly open.
If you have a second "cap" the ATF considers that a suppressor because there is a chamber between the two ends.
You will have to pay the $200.00 tax and fill out all the forms for a suppressor, for a shroud that does not suppress.
