I have a weapon that I could use some input on from those more knwledgable than I. First, it's a Colt DetSpecial 1st Generation. Please forgive me but I do love that little D frame. It has a very distinct and professionally done stamp of " INS " under the left grip panal on the frame. I am guesing that it may have been an Immigration and Naturalization contract gun many moons ago. Can anyone provide any input or any former agents from that agency here on the forum? I would appreciate any information or theories you all could provide. It's .38 special caliber. Factory walnut grips and shows nrmal wear for a weapon of that age and era. Thanks in asvance.
