Very interesting reading. I agree with many of the choices made.
My choices would be
Auto: Colt Gov't. Series 70 .45ACP, second choice a S&W 59 (when backup is an hour away 43 rds in a good working 59 is a comfort)
Revolver: 686 4" or 6" in a good Hoyt holster.
