Default Model 39-2 Trigger pull

Well, I bought it from a pawn shop for $200 back in 1980. It was my first center fire pistol. I put maybe 300 rounds thru it back then. Couldn't really afford much ammo. After I bought a Glock 17 and S&W 1006, I just relegated the 39 to the shelf in my closet. Well, yesterday I got it out and did some dry fire practice with it. For the past few months I've been dry firing the 1006 and the Glock daily, so when I added the 39-2 to the mix I was a bit surprised at the trigger. The SA pull is quite a bit lighter than the S&W and the 17. Lighter, but not smoother or crisper. It seems to have a small "catch" about 1/8th inch into the rather long take-up. Not a heavy catch, but just enough to feel it. I took the slide off and put some lube on the moving parts. That seemed to help a tiny bit, but the catch is still there.

Was wondering if anyone else with this model has the same experience, and if you know a fix for it.
