Over the holiday weekend I was watching the race during the National Anthem. I guess I was shocked at the number of men who had no idea how to properly salute when wearing a hat. People were holding their hats all over the place but I did not see anyone doing it correctly.

I'm just happy that many are making a real effort to show the proper respect for the flag and what it stands for. Could they do better, ya, but it's a start.
