I go with whichever one you pick up and point that when you then look at the sights is aimed best. Personally, it was the M&P. I like a lot of other things about it, but frankly I don't care about this one is made better than that or that.
Both are proven in the field, both are mass produced. I would have gotten an XD otherwise.
I will own a Glock at some point and put in the effort for the muscle memory on the grip angle, but I have seen plenty of people pick one up and not batted an eyelid before shooting well.
