true story:
Last month I was shooting a 50yd centerfire silhouette match with my 629.
Since all guns on the line have to be cold, I cleared my CCO, locked back the slide, and just laid it on the bench.
During a five shot string I had a squib on my third shot.
Without really thinking about it, I picked up the CCO and proceeded to ping the last three metal targets.
I give all the credit to John Moses Browning, Bar-Sto, and my gunsmith.
(I shoot the 629 in both iron and optics classes)
