Ok I read through the entire series here. I have a chance for a Lew Horton 1 of 100 guns in a presentation case un-turned cyclinder mint up the wazooo.

I can see some cheesy looking engraving on it which has about killed the deal for me. "special edition"

What is so special about Lew Horton guns? What did their shop do in terms of actual work to the mechanical aspects to make the side arm better. I have seen some Talo guns that didn't turn out so well.

I just can't imagine anyone signing their company name to the quality of the text engraving I saw on this model 624. Then I hear about the recall and I have warning alerts.

Rather have a model 629 at this point unless 1 out of 100 actually means something special. I am saying if you engrave the text "special edition" does that make it special. Hope not

The seller is asking $950
