If your revolver has a heavy barrel and is stamped "Model of 1955", it is probably stamped 25-2, not 26-2. It may be hard to read.

This model was designed for those target shooters that prefered revolvers over semi-autos.

If additional holes have been drilled in the topstrap for the dot sight, that would reduce the collectors value. However, these are great shooters.
