I've used tru oil spray since the 70's. So, I kinda feel that I have a feel for it. This new tru oil is not the same at all. I now have two days spraying randomly throughout each day, with 25 coats on a brand new stock that was already factory finished, just dull.
I'd guess these 25+ coats might equal TWO coats in thickness of the former tru oil that I loved so much.
I use to be able to take the tru oil spray and make a stock look like glass. This new tru oil is so thin the wood sucks it up and just leaves the stock near semi-gloss at best.
This is my last tru oil purchase, I'll have to hunt something new for the next stock for sure.
