I have one word: Wingmaster. As stated by several already, older models of this gun are still reasonable. They are among the best shotguns ever made, in fit, finish, and just plain shootability. There are more bells and whistles made for the 870 than just about any other shotgun, so your only limit in turning it into whatever you want it to be is your imagination.

It took me years to learn that the extra money you spend on quality will be forgotten long before the headaches of buying something cheap.
