Beautiful 27. I had a 27-2 Nickle in 6" and did like it.

The Baughman ramp front sight on the shorter barreled guns was more for carrying and quicker drawing from the holster. It is named after the FBI agent who asked S&W to put it on his Registered Magnum.

The Patridge squared front sight is more for target shooting and is supposed to give a more precise front sight.
