Those first generation Charter Arms guns all come apart and reassemble virtually the same. I have the disassembly/assembly steps with photos for the Charter 44 Bulldog and will make a copy and send it to you if you still need it. PM me with an email address.

One thing to watch out for is the nylon lock-washer on the crane retaining screw. It’s very thin and easily lost.
