Well you need to start thinking how this will work itself out. There are reports of up to 30,000 Russian troops that have moved into Crimea. A vote to leave and join Russia is going to happen in the Crimea. The EU and the US are talking sancions. A lot of the ammuniton in American stores come from Russia or are manufacured by Russian companies. To say the possibility that that ammo will continue to flow without interruption is simply silly. A prudent gun owner would secure what ammo they can given the present situation which is only going to get worse before it gets better.

Remember 7.62 x 39 or 7.62x54 are not the only calibers that would be impacted by any sanctions. There are the popular calibers in 9mm and 223. What do you think would happen if all the ammo made by Russian companies were no longer available. If sanctions are imposed against Russian Ammunition manufactures then its 2013 ammo shortage all over again. Something each one of us must take into account in our decision making process. I hope we don't see anything that would impede the flow of ammo but one must prepared just in case.
