If you have mule deer you will have those. That is a big one! I have a friend who lives rural. He has a pond that elk come to. On night a cat killed a 4 year old cow elk in the pond by biting through the skull just above the eyes. He then dragged the elk out of the pond over the dam and down into the spillway where the grass was long & covered it with grass. He had to have the Div. of Wildlife come up so he could put it in a trailer to haul off so it wouldn't become bear bait. That was the second lion killed elk we have seen up there.
