I added this shooter to my collection about a year ago. It's a early one from July 1931. After shooting it a little I understand why the second screw was employed. I did add a teeny drop of blue locktite to keep the sight at it's proper location.

Just recently I had the pleasure of selling one for a friend. I was amazed he had it and came by it some years ago from a neighbor who wanted to get rid of "that old 22 I kept in my camper". It was an honest 90% gun and had not been shot hardly at all with only a faint turn line. If it hadn't been for some storage blemish's it would have been a much higher grade. I would have liked to keep it for myself, but it was worth a little more than I could afford. I listed it on the forum and it was gone in 30 minutes. It was a 2 screw from 1936.
