That crossed our minds too. We also found a 8 lug spare tire and rim someone lost right on the dirt road. We had just rode 50 miles and came out on highway 9 near the east boundary to Zion NP. We had to turn around and go back on the same trail we had just been on less than a half hour earlier and it was right in the middle of the rough dirt road. Also found the bracket and shredded cable from where it fell probley off a cattle truck as it was a active weekend with ranchers hauling livestock up in the high country.
