Well, I have changed the rear sight with the M&P rear sight which is steel, and I did get the Galloway stainless steel guide rod (17 pounds) but I'm thinking about getting the 20 pound one just to see the difference. (I think the stock recoil assembly is 18 pounds.) I also added a Hogue grip sleeve. If they ever offer a slide cover plate with a design on it, I'll get that...as well as a frame plug.

I'm not planning on messing with the fire control group. The heavy trigger doesn't bother me, and in fact I rather like it on a pistol with no external safety. Mine is smoothing out; sure it's not 1911 smooth, but then it's not a 1911.
