Default Some of Dad's wisdom

I posted yesterday it was 20 years since my Dad passed away. Been remembering some of the things he told me. I'll share a few, and look forward to hearing some of yours.

Dad was a master craftsman. He told me "If we don't take the time to do it right the first time, how will we ever find the time to do it again?"

Dad loved pie, as do I. He said "No pie should EVER be cut in more than 6 pieces". I like that one.

I had a very active dating life, starting from the time I was 15. He told me "If you can find somebody just HALF as good as your Mother, marry her."
He really liked the Lovely Missus P&R Fan from the day he met her. I always wish I would have asked him if she was half as good as my Mom? I mean, what could he say and not get in trouble with both of them?

These are just a few of Dad's words of wisdom. Will probably think of more later. What are some you remember?
Jim
