My dad was the second greatest man to ever walk the earth.
It's funny though: the only "advice" I can remember is something he told me one time, that his uncle (whom he admired) had told him, and that he thought was worth passing along.
He said: "If there is something you really don't want to have to do, sometimes if you wait long enough, you won't have to do it."
It's not like he was a procrastinator or a slacker -- quite the opposite. I guess this goes more to the idea of letting things take their course before deciding whether to step in......
