I don't know about California, but here in Chattanooga that doesn't work. There's a dress code for court here. Punk shows up wearing pants down around his knees with underwear showing... bad move. No shorts, tank tops, muscle shirts... none of it allowed. There was a big stink about the dress code when it went into effect several years ago. Typical whiners. Didn't matter. The judges decided that was the way it was going to be and that was the end of discussion.
