Not everyone owns a suit. (I don't) But there is no reason you can't wear clean clothes in a neat manner. Avoid "T shirts" with provocative statements. For example "Cops suck!" Or if you're charged with DUI a "PBR" or "Corona" shirt would probably be a bad idea.
