I really wanted one and was out bid by some one with the name, "bust them" on a Ohio auction site. Went looking, well I paid $900.00 for a dash-4 in the box, like new from a guy in Virginia. I think that the 8 3/8 barreled are the premium length barrel for the 48's. It is a dream, very happy, money is for food, home, and Smith&Wesson.
