Default Buick fans / car fans step inside

The East Coast Buick Regional's were held this past Saturday at Cecil County Drag way in Cecil County, Maryland. It was a show and go event. Me and a good friend decided to make the 80 mile drive and enter our cars in the show.

He's got a real and very rare yellow 1970 GSX. Buick only made 678 GSX's in 1970 and they were only available in yellow (491 made) and white (187 made).

I've got a 1972 GS 455. Buick only made 1,099 of them in 1972. I've owned the car since 1985 and completely restored it myself, along with the help of some of the guys I worked with when I worked at a Buick dealer in 1987.

We both did very well placing in the top 13 cars out of the 86 cars entered. There were many nice cars in the show from as far away as Florida, Indiana, and New Hampshire.

Cruising to the show on I-95

set up at the show

and being it's a Buick, it has factory A/C

me (wearing a Handgun Combatives t-shirt), very surprised and happy!

a few random cars in the show

I thought this was pretty cool. It's a 1965 Skylark that someone turned into a retro Grand National.

complete with a turbo 231!

This is a one owner, un-restored 1970 GSX 4 speed. The original owner bought the car when he was 20 and has owned it since. He drives it to car shows all over and it's never been on a trailer!

a few shots at the track

somebody let a few Chevy's in so the Buicks had something to beat up on

and a really nice Hemi Charger R/T

and the baddest Studebaker on the planet!
