Welcome to the Forum. I assume your revolver is a top-break since it is only 5 shot. With that serial number and being a 5 shot 38, I would guess it is a 38 Double Action, 4th Model revolver??? These revolvers were made from 1905 to 1909. If it is a solid frame revolver, it would have to be a 6 shot with that serial number, so pictures would be very helpful.
