Well, I've shown this picture before, but to answer today's question, the lower gun, which began life as a 4" Model 66,
used to be my favorite S&W 357 revolver until it volunteered to boldly go where few guns had gone before and have its caliber changed to 327 FM. At that point, I was 357-less and asked myself "what would be perfect all-around 357 for me to buy now and keep for a long time?" The upper gun in the picture, a 6" Model 686 (no dash, no M) was my personal answer to that question. YMMV!
