It would not be a Lew Horton gun as the only real LH gun was a 657 full underlug stainless. The 1986 3" 657 was a stocking dealer special.

As to your 3" 57 if you can post a pic it would help identify it. John Jarvino used to do what you describe and if it is one of his guns it is worth a lot of money.
