I carried a Randall #1 for almost the entire 32 months I spent in Vietnam as a helicopter gunship crew chief/door gunner. When I left, I left it behind because I was really stupid.

Now, 47 years later, I frequently find myself weeping silently to myself whenever I remember it which is almost daily.
