Default Nicer action - Old target trigger/hammer or new PC action?

For an N frame double action, which is nicer? (I know subjective)...

I have zero access to the newer PC guns so I have no idea how nice they are, or are not.

But I do have an mid 90's model 27 that has the hardened target trigger and hammer, and that gun completely stock has the best trigger feel of any pistol I have ever fired.

Now I ask this question because I have been lurking over some of the older 1989ish 629s with the 3" barrel. Street price for a shooter looks to be the same price as the new 629 PC. So I am wondering which would have the better feel for the money.

Yes I know the 1989 would have no-IL or MIM, but I sold too much stuff and need to put some back into the toy fund... this will be a range toy not a daily shooter.
