I found a 45 Colt Mountain gun barrel on Gone-broker and,
bought it. $183.00 Holy Cow.
But now that I have installed it on my 657 convertible it looks good.
Worth the trouble and cost.
The original project;
Horse of a different color / 657 of a different caliber.
I would rather have a 45 Colt barrel with its 6 prominent lands and grooves.
It will definitely shoot lead bullets better than the ACP barrel
with its 5 shallow lands designed for jacketed ball.
Here it is now. Can you tell it Didn't start life this way?
And that cylinder I cut for moon clipped ACP.
It will also chamber 45 Colt with no issues.
Good luck with your projects.
