Just to add to my previous, the vitriol displayed by some with regard to open carry is disappointing. Divide and conquer is an old and effective way of separating us from our firearms rights. It was used very effectively in England and documented in the essay All the Way Down the Slippery Slope.

If you don’t like OC for whatever reason, just don’t open carry. Calling people names or ridiculing others for not doing it the way you do, as though you were some sort of god and the standard by which all things are to be judged, is playing into the hands of the anti-gunners. In other words, you’re helping them.

It’s always telling when these threads (in all forums) degenerate to this level. I’ve never met an open carry proponent who disparages anyone for concealing; yet there’s no shortage of little gods who favor concealed carry acting divisively with regards to open carry.
